These terms govern OwnerLot at ownerlotcars.com. By creating an account or listing a car you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

The service

OwnerLot is a classifieds marketplace for used cars for sale by private owners in the United States. We host listings. We are not a dealer, broker, escrow agent, inspector, lender, or party to any sale. Title, payment, and pickup happen between buyer and seller.

Private owners only

Licensed dealers, wholesalers, auctions, and anyone selling as a business may not list here. That is a ban, not a warning. Each person may keep up to 3 live ads. We may limit new accounts from the same phone, browser, or network.

No duplicate listings

A VIN may be listed once and cannot move to another account after the ad is taken down. Do not post the same car twice or clone photos. Duplicate and near-duplicate ads are a ban. You must pin the city where the car actually sits. Read the full marketplace rules. Marketplace rules

Your content

You grant OwnerLot a license to display your listing, photos, and messages on the site and in search results. You represent that you own the photos and that the car description is true to your knowledge.

Accounts

Keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may lock, rate-limit, or close accounts for abuse, spam, or suspected fraud.

No warranty

The site is provided as-is. We do not guarantee that a listing is accurate, that a seller is who they say they are, or that a car will pass inspection. See the as-is disclaimer.
